For every business owner selling goods or services online, landing pages are the primary source of income. This is why it is very important to ensure that all targeted pages on your website are optimized to deliver the exact results you want. If you have been using WordPress, you are probably aware that it takes a lot of time to create landing page matching all best practices – you must find and download/buy all elements you need, create column layout, add holders for your images or videos, add op-in form, make sure your content gets shared in the social networks, greet your visitor with a thank you page, after he performs the targeted action and much much more.

If you are experienced (and in many ways lucky) enough, creating 1 landing page, should take you not less than 2 hours. If you decide to start searching for plugins, you might save yourself some time. There are hundreds of such plugins available online, but sooner or later you are likely to discover that most do not have the proper feature-set! Is this annoying or what? We also had the same issues, until we tried Premise.

Premise for WordPress

How it works?

Premise is a plugin that not only allows you to create sales, social sharing, content (SEO), pricing table, email opt in form, video, thank you and tab scroller page. Each one of the pages available in Premise, comes with separate settings, so you can try different ones in order to see which works best. Another very important feature of Premise is the A/B split-testing feature – you can create multiple copies of your landing pages and test them against your users. That way you can optimize your content for best conversions and improve your income!

If you on the other hand are running some kind of a community, Premise’s membership module might come in handy. It allows you to restrict the users of your website to particular sections available with their membership level. Furthermore, you can configure the plugin to give access to your visitors based on set periods after their initial registration.

What we like most?

Although, we have only tested the social sharing landing page, we did test almost all features of Premise and here are our ultimate favorites (at least for now):

- Adding sample data for testing landing page structure happens with just a click.

-Insert custom graphics happens really easy, since there are thousands built in the plugin. You just need to click insert custom graphics and you will gain access to this enormous media library.

-Again, you have a button allowing you to insert email op in form anywhere on your landing page. The only thing you need to do is to insert the API key of the system you are using for your email marketing efforts.

- Google Website Optimizer is the ultimate tool for landing page optimization and Premise allows you to insert custom areas with code from this tool, which will allow you to take advantage of all features it has.

- Create stylesheets with almost zero CSS knowledge. This is probably our favorite – you have access to all CSS features directly from your admin panel and configuring them, requires only using your mouse :) (unless you want to change colors :) )))

How it worked for us?

SEO PAL recently launched a project, which involves issuing a magazine about SEO, online marketing and social media marketing in Bulgarian. We decided that Premise is suitable for our needs, so we created a social sharing landing page. You can see an example of a social sharing landing page here.

As the name suggest, the purpose of the social sharing page is to ask for social shares in return for getting a download link to our magazine. We used the honor settings, which do not involve using APIs of Twitter and Facebook (this means that visitors are redirected to the second page after some time expires). Here are our results:

SHARES

As you can see here, once properly configured, Premise allows you to create landing pages that actually work. The only thing is its price of $165 one time, but when you think about its features, it even seems cheap!
