Social media is becoming one of the fastest-growing ways to advertise your place of business. It is cheap to use and it generally has a high Return Of Investment (ROI). Multiple businesses are using this method to advertise what their company has and what they are doing to promote events for dedicated clients. Social media has also been an amazing outlet for people who have like interests to come together and share their experiences as well as promote events that match their own likes, or warn of any dislikes.
Social Media Is Fun
The primary social media outlets are specifically designed for the users to have fun. They provide games, social outlets, and a way to express the user’s likes with friends, family, and acquaintances. While more and more people are using social media, generally the users are from a younger generation. These people are looking for something that will attract their interest based on their generation. Posts that are eye-catching and fun will draw an audience to your business and message with ease. While I am not an enthusiast in most areas, I do love a good sale. I find myself looking at businesses that cater in my area and to my needs. I like to see events that host good sales and are open to addressing my needs as a person who loves finding bargain deals.
Keeping on the Upward Track
A few years ago SeaWorld in California announced the opening of their brand new roller coaster. Instead of just advertising it on their site they relied on social media to relay their message. By advertising and posting their release of the roller coaster to some of the top roller coaster enthusiasts in world through various social media outlets they were able to generate an amazing turnout of people. By the end of the grand opening weekend for the unveiling of this roller coaster, Sea World was able to generate almost $60 for every $1 spent on their social media campaign. This cost included paying employees who ran the Twitter and Facebook campaigns, the media coverage for the event, and the various stage setups and opening day offers they had for each of the members who attended the event.
Target Audience Helps Reach Target Goals
The majority of businesses will only have their target audiences as followers or friends on social media. If I have taken the time to find the company that I enjoy shopping at, or doing various business with, on social media then I would be a member of the target audience for this company. I enjoy the business, I enjoy what they have to offer, and I would like to continue to do business or contribute in any way that I can. Getting members of your target audience to join your social media campaign is the easy part. The next part is more difficult. Take the time to make sure that your ads and announcements cater to the desires and needs of your target audience. This will help your advertising thrive and move your business forward.
